Profitability is in the equation for the big builder that's taking Green to a new level.

In Summer 2010, Meritage Homes launched "Meritage Green," an ambitious home building program aimed at building extremely energy-efficient homes and offering them at very affordable prices. At the 2011 International Builders' Show, AvidBuilder caught up with Meritage's vice president of environmental affairs, C.R. Herro, and probed the mind behind Meritage Green about the feasibility of building these homes profitably.

The interview gives good information regarding the role of building science and modern housing. I would be interested in some of the specifics regarding air sealing, wall structure, windows, etc.
